Life Insurance & Cancer Ohio OH

Filed under: Cancer life insurance — visitor @ 12:13 pm

Reader’s Question:

My husband was just diagnosed with Prostate cancer, we were lucky enough to discover it in it’s early stages so the doctors here in Ohio are optimistic however, hubby and I are realist and we want to get life insurance for him and also for our kids, what should we know about life insurance for someone who has cancer?

Leisha

Cincinnati, OH

The first thing that you should know is that it would be very difficult to get a life insurance plan once an insurance provider knows that you have cancer. Additionally, it would be next to impossible to be granted life insurance coverage while undergoing cancer treatment. The fact that you and your husband was able to discover his illness early on, and that you are told by the doctors that the chances of a complete recovery are still high, would probably go along way in helping you to get a life insurance company to grant your husband coverage.

Certain forms of cancer are far riskier than others and this would have a big influence on how premiums will be calculated. It is also not advisable to lie that your husband doesn’t have cancer or any illnesses, since in the even that he does succumb to the disease your insurance carrier might refuse to pay you (or whoever your husband’s beneficiaries are) the death benefits.

It would be a good idea to run a life insurance quote check on life insurance portals, like this website, and focus on the companies that advertises the most competitive rates to increase your chances of getting a policy. The services of a knowledgeable and experienced life insurance agent or broker there in Ohio would also be invaluable at this point, since they may be able to negotiate coverage for you, as well as explain to you what to expect on your insurance before and after treatment.

Cancer & Life Insurance Coverage West Virginia WV

Filed under: Cancer life insurance — visitor @ 6:59 pm

Reader’s Question:

Is it true that I would never be able to get a life insurance provider here in West Virginia because I was recently diagnosed with cancer?

Gale

Charleston, WV

Not necessarily, who ever told you that you can’t get life insurance coverage because you have been diagnosed with cancer is obviously out of the loop. Admittedly, it is somewhat of a challenge for cancer patients to get life insurance, given the right conditions or with the help of a skilled and experienced life insurance broker there in West Virginia backing you up you will, sooner or later, find someone who will be willing to provide you life insurance coverage.

There are exception of course, the probability of getting approved life insurance coverage would depend on how far the cancer has progressed, what kind of cancer it is (certain types of cancer can be easily treated with minor surgery if caught very early, and would pose very little risk to the patient), and the percentage of recovery from the said disease. It would be virtually impossible for you to be granted life insurance coverage if you are already undergoing cancer treatment so it’s best to be decisive about getting a life insurance policy as quickly as possible.

What you do need to know is that premiums for cancer life insurance coverage are more expensive. Even after successfully undergoing the treatment and managing to kill the cancer cells, you are still considered a “high-risk” customer. There will probably be a bit of a surcharge added on your policy for a year or so, this is just to make sure that the disease would not be coming back, after witch you can expect to pay normal rates again.

Life Insurance Options For Cancer Patients North Dakota ND

Filed under: Cancer life insurance — visitor @ 7:46 pm

Reader’s Question:

I’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer here in North Dakota and I was wondering if I would still qualify for life insurance coverage?

Mayumi

Fargo, ND

It is still possible to get life insurance coverage if you were diagnosed with cancer depending on the type of cancer you have, its progress and whether or not you are already undergoing treatment. Most of the time though you will find it very difficult (or nearly impossible) to convince life insurance providers to give you coverage, while you are actually undergoing medical treatment. Certain type’s breast cancer for example, can be issued a standard life insurance policy with no additional premiums to be paid if you show strong signs of recovery and the said tumor is localized and can be taken cared of by undergoing surgery. (You or your doctor would probably need to submit all the medical and treatment history for evaluation)

You may also find some life insurance providers there in North Dakota that would be willing to provide coverage immediately after treatment, but would have a small premium added on the policy for a few years. This is additional security on the life insurance’s behalf and should be removed once you have shown signs of complete recovery and there would be no danger of the cancer growing back. It usually takes about two or three years of observation for someone who have had cancer treatment to be tagged as cancer-free. Of course it would still be beneficial to shop around and be aware of your options there. Just because you have cancer it doesn’t have mean that one should be over-charged for life insurance.

Life Insurance With Cancer Texas TX

Filed under: Cancer life insurance — visitor @ 5:14 am

Reader’s Question:

Would I still qualify to get life insurance even if I was already diagnosed with cancer here in Texas?

Albert

Amarillo, TX

Although it may be a bit difficult or challenging to get life insurance after being diagnosed with cancer, it is still possible for you to get life insurance coverage there in Texas. The first thing you that you should know is that the type and stage of cancer you may have would greatly influence your eligibility for life insurance coverage. This will also heavily affect how rates you can expect from your policy.

For example, people diagnosed with certain types of skin or prostate cancer in its early stages, with a high success rate for the treatment, may be categorized under the standard life insurance policy and the said illness may not even have significant impact on the policy. Breast cancer, Leukemia and Colon cancer patients life insurance policies might come out completely different and could mean much higher life insurance costs, even rejection of the application of the illness is already terminal.

If you do manage to get a life insurance policy, do review the policy carefully as you may notice some added charges or flat rates due to your illness. Some people may choose to go with Guaranteed Life Insurance Coverage that does not require an individual to undergo extensive medical or physical exams, nor submit their medical history. These kinds of policies tend to have much larger premiums but it maybe your only option if you found yourself unable to acquire life insurance from anyone else.

Cancer Life Insurance New Mexico NM

Filed under: Cancer life insurance, Life insurance with illness — visitor @ 9:56 am

Reader’s Question:

I am a breast cancer survivor living in New Mexico. Can I still get a life insurance?

Helena

Albuquerque, NM

I’m proud of you, Helena! And I’m pretty sure that getting a life insurance would be a piece of cake for you. After all, you fought with a deadly disease, and you won! There are a number of things that you should do to be able to get the appropriate insurance premium offers that you need.

You will need to acquire all your medical records before applying for a life insurance. Be sure to present your pathology reports, medical records, as well as records of your treatments. Those will provide the insurer a detailed and accurate image of you, your health and your cancer’s history. Keep in mind to have all these records before applying, so as to avoid certain delays in your application.

The more information you present, the better the chance of getting good premiums. Less information could lead your insurers to believe that you’re a high-risk client and therefore offer you high premiums.

As I have said, you need to give the life insurance company all possible medical records. With this in mind, be sure to comply with all the treatment plans laid out by your doctor. So, be certain that you won’t miss any of your check-ups.
Once you’re successfully treated, then you are very likely to obtain a life insurance policy with the best premium offers. I suggest that you check out insurance quotes from different companies there in New Mexico or get free quotes online. Good luck and have a wonderful day.

Cancer Life Insurance Quotes Online Honolulu Hawaii HI

Reader’s Question:

I already know and accept that I have cancer. Fortunately, it is only Stage 1 but I know that it will still command higher rates if I apply for a life insurance policy in Honolulu Hawaii HI. Should I just try to rig it?

Marissa

Honolulu, HI

Allow me to be candid here, Marissa – this is what you should never ever do. Rigging or being dishonest with your life insurance will not help you in any way. It will, in fact, be very heartbreaking for you to find out that your life insurance has been cancelled at a time when you and your family need it most.

Anyway, you are fortunately at Stage 1, like you said, and this brings great promise to you in terms of finding life insurance in Honolulu Hawaii HI. But I might as well tell you know that you will be charged higher premiums than ordinary applicants. Premiums will always vary from one insurer to another because they will have different ways of underwriting certain conditions and so it is but imperative for you to look around and not just be fixated by one insurance company alone. What you need to do is to enter your Honolulu Hawaii zip code on the space provided for you to have multiple quotes. You may want to visit them to discuss in detail your present condition and what the outlook is for you.

Remember to be transparent and truthful all the time, Marissa: insurance companies in Honolulu Hawaii HI tend to err on the conservative side. Their general rule in this case is “When in doubt, don’t!” you do not want to put them in doubt of your actual standing so allow me to use another cliché : “Honesty is the best policy”.

Arianna

Scranton, PA

Of course you should still go ahead with your appointment, Arianna. Like you said, life goes on and this is a very opportune time than ever to get life insurance. But even if you really have cancer, there is still no reason to discontinue with your application for life insurance in Scranton Pennsylvania PA.
